Generator Installation & Interlocks Portland

Storm-Ready With MVP Electric

Generator Installation & Interlock Kits

Ice storms and windstorms knock out power across the Portland metro every few winters. MVP Electric installs everything from generator interlock kits and inlet boxes to whole-home standby generators, for homes and businesses in Multnomah, Washington and Clackamas counties. Every install is permitted and inspected, and the permit is included in your free estimate. If your home needs a panel upgrade first, we can do both in one project.

Why Install a Generator?

Stay Warm and Safe: Keep your furnace, lights and outlets working when the grid goes down.
Protect What Matters: Power your fridge, freezer, sump pump, well pump or medical equipment.
No Dangerous Backfeeding: A permitted interlock or transfer switch keeps utility line workers and your generator safe.
Peace of Mind: A standby generator turns on automatically, even when you are away from home.

What MVP Electric Offers?

We size the system to what you actually need to run, then install it to code:

Generator Interlock Kits & Inlets: The safe, affordable way to power your home's circuits from a portable generator.
Manual Transfer Switches: Run a chosen set of essential circuits from your generator.
Whole-Home Standby Generators: Automatic backup power that comes on within seconds of an outage.
Battery Backup: Home battery systems, with or without solar, for quiet backup power.
Permits & Inspection Included: Every generator install is permitted and inspected, and passes the first time.
